xoops... xoops... xoops...

So I have been busy playing with a new web thingy...

I recently added a new section to our church website. (You can check it out here.)

I am very seriously thinking about moving this blog to run through XOOPS. I am really impressed with this CMS/community portal, and I think that it could be a cool way to integrate my blog into a cool personal website.

At any rate, my online activity has been focused on this, thus the no posts here for a while. sorry!

The family is doing great. We are just adjusting to having an new little person with us. :)

Julia and I went ice skating on Saturday (she skated... I slid around on my shoes). We had a lot of fun. If it wasn't for the wind being so strong off the lake, we would have stayed a little longer.

Also went sliding with the kids on Saturday. Little James wasn't too impressed with the actual sliding, but he sat at the top of the hill and enjoyed watching the other kids slide down.

We had a good weekend.

Quite the weekend...

I have today (President's Day) off from work! So here I am mid-morning still in my pajamas, playing on the computer. I suppose I should get up and get something else done. All in good time. :)

I had an amazing weekend. Spiritually, I can feel God stretching me and growing me. He has opened some things and spoken some things to my heart that have me really excited.

We had a men's conference at our church this weekend. It was a great time of learning and encouragement. The main text of the of the teaching came from Psalm 107 regarding being hungry. The importance of being hungry for God and for His presence. Spending time in prayer and study of His word. I really do feel refreshed and revived in my personal walk, and I know that it was just what I needed.

What's is next for me in following His will? Finish my ministerial classes that I started a few years back. It is so good to be in His presence!

Where did that come from????

I had the worst dream last night! It wasn't a nightmare or anything clearly evil. It was just annoying. Have you ever had one of those? I dreamed that the mailman kept bringing us strange baby items from his home. There were beds, and wagons, and strollers, and clothing, and bags and bags of toys, and all kinds of other stuff... and he kept bringing more and more of the stuff. Then he asked me to move his mail truck so he could move in some more stuff, and as I was moving it... I crashed into my own car! Then to top it off, some man whom I have never met before was at my house telling me how much he loved this particular woman, but it was a problem because she was cheating on him with another guy who could not decide if he wanted to dress like a man or a woman. He kept asking me what he should do... The biggest problem with this dream was that I actually woke up at one point, and when I went back to sleep, it was back again!!! What could it all mean???

I watch too much TV.

(I must also say that our mailman is a really nice guy, and we appreciate his prayers for our family and our newborn son~!)

I am so excited for the coming weekend. There is a men's advance at our church, and it should be an excellent event! This last weekend was a great time of Spiritual breakthrough in our fellowship, and I am really anxious to see what God is going to do this weekend! I know that He is preparing something great for us!

I will make sure to fill you in...

Hello world!

Just a quick post to let you know what's up! Noah finally came home yesterday. (A full week after he was born!) He is adjusting to home life nicely. It is a lot more noisy here at home than it was in the NICU for the last week. They keep it pretty quiet in there. At times yesterday, I wondered if little Noah missed the peace and quiet that he had there. But then I thought, he is probably more used to the noise than I think. He was around it for the last 9 months!

And the source of all the commotion? Why, his older siblings Julia (4) and James (2). They were so excited to have their little brother home.

As for me, I have had the last week or so off from work! Today is my last full day home, and then I go back to work half days the rest of the week.

Life is good!

Baby Noah!

As you may have guessed, the little guy above is the reason I have not posted anything here for a few days. Sorry to leave you all hanging, but here he is!

Noah Thomas was born on Monday, February 7. He is doing pretty well, but is currently in the NICU until he can stay a little more awake and alert for his feedings.

Mom is doing well also! Thank you for all your prayers for this pregnancy.

I will try to post some more pictures soon!

Baby today... baby tomorrow... ?

Hey! There is my little icon dude... I haven't used this in a while.

I started this post last Friday, and never got around to actually posting it. I have a couple minutes before I run out the door to bring my wife to the doctor. Yes, she is still very pregnant, and very ready to have that baby. I have a feeling it could be today.

If you think of it, please keep us in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery of this baby.

I will update you all later!
